About Ridgeview Advisors
The L&D firm for MSPs, built by people who have run them.
We teach you How to MSP©.
Ridgeview Advisors exists for one industry and one job: building the capability that lets MSPs scale. What we teach has been run on a real desk and a real P&L — from startup to private-equity exit — not pulled from a generic training catalog. One discipline, one industry, taught by operators.
The operator behind RVA
25+ years building MSPs — now teaching others how.
Ridgeview Advisors is founded and led by Andrew Moore, who spent more than 25 years in IT services building, scaling, and leading MSPs from startup to a private-equity exit. He has lived the full lifecycle of the business he now teaches — not studied it from the outside.
As Chief Operating Officer at IronEdge Group, Andrew led the company through a successful PE platform transaction and owned service delivery, project management, finance, sales operations, and client success at the C-suite level. That is the vantage point RVA teaches from: the seats where utilization, gross margin, and client retention are actually won or lost.
He teaches MSP operations publicly on the How to MSP© channel, and brings the same operator’s lens to every RVA engagement.
Why RVA
Why learning & development, and why MSPs only.
RVA is deliberately narrow. Our job is to build the people who run the MSP — their skills, judgment, and operating discipline — so the business performs better through them. We do it for one industry only, and that focus is the point, not a limitation.
Why capability comes first
MSPs don’t scale on more tooling; they scale on capability. So whether we’re running a program, a cohort, or hands-on strategy and coaching, the goal is the same: build the capability into your team so the gains stay once the engagement ends. The deliverable is a team that’s better — not a binder.
Why MSPs only
Generic leadership training doesn’t survive contact with a ticket queue. We speak PSA and RMM workflows, dispatch, service tiers, the vCIO motion, and QBR cadence natively — so every example lands with people who run a desk. One industry means nothing gets lost in translation.
Why operators trust RVA
Proof from a team that has built, scaled, and exited MSPs — measured in dollars and margin, not adjectives.
- Millions in exit value
We’ve helped multiple MSPs raise operational maturity and enterprise value ahead of a sale — improvements that translated into millions of dollars in added exit value.
- Higher service gross margin
Our cohort classes have produced meaningful gains in service gross margin, driven by real service-delivery improvements — not headcount cuts.
- Faster, repeatable onboarding
The academies we build get new hires productive faster, and consistently — turning a six-month improvisation into a repeatable ramp.
- Built & exited platform MSPs
Our team and partners haven’t only advised MSPs — they’ve built, scaled, and exited their own as platform MSPs. The journey we teach is one we’ve run.
- C-suite & director seats
RVA’s bench has held COO, VP, and director roles inside MSPs — owning service delivery, PMO, finance, sales operations, and client success.
- 100+ years, MSP-only
Across our instructors and partner firms, a century-plus of combined MSP operating experience — focused on one industry, exclusively.
In good company. RVA’s curriculum has professionalized service delivery for clients like MicroAge Canada, and we partner with best-in-breed firms — Scaled/Anapto, ITValuations/VaaS, and Empath — across service delivery, finance, and security.
Questions about Ridgeview Advisors and Andrew Moore
- Who is Andrew Moore?
- The President and Founder of Ridgeview Advisors. He spent 25+ years in IT services building, scaling, and leading MSPs — including taking one from startup to a private-equity exit — with C-suite responsibility for service delivery, PMO, finance, sales operations, and client success.
- Does RVA provide strategy and consulting, or only training?
- Both. Alongside our programs and cohort classes, RVA’s 1:1 engagements include hands-on strategy, coaching, and consulting on the real decisions MSP leaders face. What sets the approach apart is the goal: we build capability your team keeps, so you come away stronger and more self-sufficient.
- Does RVA work with anyone outside the MSP industry?
- No. RVA serves the Managed Service Provider industry exclusively. That focus is what lets the teaching land in real MSP operating reality rather than generic business theory.
- What makes RVA different from MSP peer groups or coaches?
- RVA is the L&D firm for the MSP industry — learning systems, cohort classes, and 1:1 coaching and strategy, delivered by people who have actually operated MSPs. We’re a specialist development partner, not a peer group or a generic coaching practice.
